Well finally got round to running a couple of open root v up. Root with filarc 56s 2.5, fill and cap Conarc 49c.

Looks tight @Arclikeharrypotter I've been playing with those filarc 56 7016s there a ok rod I've not played much with them I find if I don't use arc force and more amps the weld becomes less fluid easier to control I have been meaning to do some practice runs just been to busy

I found rooting with Conarc 49c much easier. Where as the filarc required a better prep and the amperage needed to be on the money. You can see at the start I was a few amps short, so quick stop and restart. I should of feathered the end tack on that really.

I need to get some 55.00 over to you. Don’t rate the conarcs tbh.
Bohler OHV 50 is a beautiful rod.
No arc force control in this machine, went in about 80A maybe touch under dcen.
I've been burning a fair few ev50 lately and have to agree very nice, real smooth. Found rooting with Conarc super easier and forgiving. I'm a fan! What's difference between 55.00 and 48.00?
Edit. Touch under 2.5, and probably roughly the same root face as yours. Or two light passes with a flap disc!
