They were rebadged yanks, Pierce Arrows? a mate, Mike Smith has one, and a fleet of Broughs, he is the Brough clubs Matchless engine spares guy,
you have all three there, Curzon mentioned as the owner of the engines, Crashby on the left of the picture, and Chris Reed on the right, a couple of years ago I was GIVEN a 1948? 7R frame number 14, tried to find bits to make up a display bike, paid £500.00 for a rear brake plate with shoes, gave up and sold it all on, only wanted to build it into something I could swop for something I wanted, the guy who gave it to me, an old customer was building a Triumphed 650 engine special in the 70's when he crashed a car badly, very badly, and that was that, he found the frame hanging in his mothers basement when clearing out her house a couple of years ago,
have you seen any of Sid leitch's matchy
Ajs stuff he is on you tube he is a cracking lad
That's all that they can do at present. Once the building work is complete it will be no more. Old Len silver must be mortified as he ran the Rye House Rockets for years.I walked past there earlier this year, February I think it was.
There were bikes practising then.
I sold him the heads he used on his four pipe V twin, they are from a D80, I have a few, I also asked him some advice when building my 1914 8B as he has one,
mention me if you see him,
The CS box I have is missing the small kickstart gear on the layshaft with the square hole, not sure how many teeth without digging through parts books, the large KS gear I have has 44 teeth, counted twice as by the time I got in doors I had forgotten, so either a matching gear or a pair, I think I have a small gear mit square hole that is toooo small spare, picture of the shoes from 250cc Matchless twin rear brake and CS box, missing gear is not shown top left of the box,
