V belt puulley

Hi all
Does anybody know what size 5 step v pulley is on meddings mf5 mk 1. I have one on gearbox with small pulley measuring 108mm and large 173mm. Not sure if this is original or not. Does the motor pulley have to match gearbox pulley in size. If it has to match Does anyone know of anywhere to buy. Thanks all.

you'll need them to match to keep the belt length right when you're moving it up/down to change speeds

no idea where to get one

The motor pulley will need to have the same size vees as the gearbox pulley and you could work out the sizes from the speed chart, but nothing is set in stone. If it gives you a reasonable working range who cares if it's not the same as what's on the chart - the drill will still drill.

Looked at how to measure up but found it confusing (I have ME) which limits me to what I can take in brain fog. Have to buy measuring templates to find out various angles which I havnt done yet as bed ridden. This project to most people would be finished in a jiffy but because of health it will probably be 2-3 years for me. It's something to look forward to when bit better.
