Hi All ,
Today whilst having a wall pier repaired the utility power cable ducting was exposed , it was lying less than 50mm below mean ground level under a gravel cover , it lies in a narrow area between my boundary and the house wall ,approx 300 to 400 mm away is my soil drain , the cable runs from a substation in this ducting the full length of my property, into my neighbors garden where it then goes up a pole and then on to neighbouring cottages.
There is a wall which need repairs retaining a bank of earth which forms a shared boundary.
The Utility company agrees that the cable is incorrectly installed but will do nothing until I remove said wall (1m high) ,Iam not in a position to afford thsee works as it is not accessible by machine hand work only,
The big question is can I insist the cable is removed from my property , I own the absolute freehold , Iam then free to do as I please ,
Thanks
