Hi all,
I'm new to this site and new to TIG welding ally.
Everything is going OK except that I am using too much gas!
I am using 10 kg bottles (@ £35 per fill) and so far I have got through
3 bottles in what I estimate is the equivalent of less than 2 hours continuous
welding. I have checked for leaks and have none. I always turn the
valve on the bottle off except when welding. I fitted a flow meter set at
10 l/m but experienced welding difficulties so I have turned it up to about 20 l/m.
Is TIG welding really this expensive on gas?
Rob
