is it me of is there more problems nowadays with electric wires
im going back to old 3 bar electric fires with rubber old type covered wire or was it cotton covered flex
never seems to have any problems very good them old 3 bar fires that you could lay on there back put a kettle on the top or a pan a cook your dinner in the works cabin
and still keep warm
HSE would have a field day now
in fact my extension lead is rubber it's X MOD was 100 meters a lot shorter now must have a look at the spec is still visible on the wire in places

our councill house got the electrics done. 3 double 13 amp sockets one on the landing one in the kitchen and one in the sitting room. before that there was one round pin 16 amp socket in the kitchen for a washer if u could aford one we had a poss tub at first and a mangle
