Uses for the big thin gas bottles

just stumbled across about 8 bottles thinking do I need them or not!

this one uses small propane gas bottles for a stove thats portable

I mean BIG same height as the big 47kg propane ones but half the diameter too heavy for a chime unless i crne them up on wire rope

They make good flues for Woodstoves
The thought of filling an untested bottle with compressed air fills me with terror - YMMV

I didnt stop to look yesterday they were black so could be CO2 just hope they r still there tomorrow

if they are co2 they may be too big for ur mig much bigger than pub bottle size,

Thanks for offer - the 500 mile round trip from Yorkshire to collect would make it unfeasible unfortunately

actually they could be old Oxy-Acetylene Gas Cylinders

They sound like oxy to me, I'd suggest you leave them well alone!!

Accetelyle has a porus liner internally don't think asbestos is allowed no matter now

Not a fan of cutting up stuff you don't 100 % understand - it can end very badly

acetylene will have a left hand thread on the neck and probably be purple in colour . I wouldn't bother if I were u

I will take a closer look today they were definitely black bottles I need to check the labels on the bottles I thought oxy had a different kind of valve too
