Me and mate used to runs our Soguns on it, go Costco an dfill in the car park. we got some weird looks. But never a moron like that.

Report away. It's totally legal up to 2500l per year.
years ago when I ran it had my Iveco pulled by twice by vosa for spot checks... both times they were a bit confused, made some phone calls then said no worries on your way
did about 80k miles in that and 100k miles in a sprinter twin tanked (both common rail)
was perfect when I was doing the driving but went to crap when it was other people so gave up
kind of regretting it now :-o
forgot my funnel on a long trip once, figured I'd buy a glossy magasine at the next services roll it into a cone and use that... only glossy mag they had was a porno so had to buy it... after a fill up I'd rip out the soggy pages... sometimes wonder if anyone looked in any of the bins next to the places I stopped to fill up and found horrible soggy sticky porno mag pages :-o

So, how come you can't buy it in bulk? Or maybe you can. I'm not likely to bother messing around with tubs of the stuff, but if you could buy an ibc or even get it delivered by tanker, that'd be interesting.

You can do whatever you like, apart from use more than 2499l for road use.
You can run a stationary engine on it 24/7 and power your house etc in as large a quantity as you like
You can (as we do) use it for heating
You can use it for your offroad days
...you just cant use more than 2.5k for standard road use.
Its all a bit fuzzy on the detail as to if thats per address or what, but, basically, its to set a supposed limit to encompass private / domestic use, rather than running a courier company off it, tax free.
Luckily, no.
I think if playing it safe its best to keep a diary, including evidence of diesel use for the car. I'd always assumed it was per vehicle rather than household but could easily be wrong. I only ran the 110 on it so, to me, that was the same as a household. I always got a steady 25mpg from that so figured by the time i got to about 13000 miles per year on veg alone id have to start worrying at that point.

I used to have it delivered by the IBC :-)
obviously I was only using 2.5 IBC per year, yes sir Mr.Police man :-o
