The spark eroder man beckons everyone who used crap (or the wrong size) drill bits and/or chinoisery extractors. Stahlwille are the champs for the last resort of extraction. From the really low rent ones I remember the harmless apparently lead based ones that ended up like ornamental scrollwork to the ones that did not betray their extreme brittleness until they became a more difficult to solve problem, cue Mr Spark Eroder.

The tapered ones are absolutely worthless, IMHO. I'd rather use a left hand tap, than one of those.

I used the tapered sort.
I agree that they are OK for something that’s just sheared due to over tightening rather than seized.
I threw my original set from Machine Mart in the bin after my last disaster.
When a neighbour past away, the widow just gave me his tool boxes and they were in a case with German writing, so just hung onto them out of respect for his widow.
Won’t bother with a lottery ticket, I think I’ve used up all my luck for this year.
