Urgent service Chinese diesel heater

How was this still running? Only stopped working properly yesterday.
Probably needs a good clean
This is what you get from using a long exhaust pipe. My other one stays squeaky clean on its short little pipe.

Scrap time obviously. But so cheap to buy i will recover the cost in 3 weeks.

Kero same as the other one. Its the long exhaust that's killed it. Still astonished it ran at all.

Thats totally inside the combustion chamber so totally safe.

Do you think if unnoticed though it would have progressed further and potentially melted the outer case? I'd been considering one of these to replace the truma thing in the caravan that's overly complex. I'm not so keen now!

No they are even Fizzy proof
I have run one for 5000 hrs no problem.

How long is "long"?

About 10 feet but the problem is it turns 90 degrees and goes vertical.

I wouldn't worry. They are a simple but safe design, I would be more worried about the poor quality fuel hose and tank than the unit its self, from a safety standpoint.

I ha e an eberspacher in the 110. I have no worries about that.

Yes but obviously not enough. Never mind now i know i will service the next one more often.

Think that I'll stick with my Deville multifuel heater, having seen that, and people offering repair services for those little diesel heaters.......

When my first one died because the motor gave up, the burn chamber was pretty much spotless.
The second one that I fitted, lasted a few weeks before it faulted due to carbon build up.

I didn't bother checking it with a meter when I reinstalled it, but I leaned the mix off a bit and it's been fine since.

In fairness it was a little smoky on startup. I assumed the exhaust but it may have been over fuelling. Pump not clicking much though.
