The correct course of action is to get your employer to engage a competent occupational hygienistJust want to say thanks for all your support guys and girls if there is any on the furum it’s just getting me really depressed and want to give up
Some very good advice as always from @ParmThe correct course of action is to get your employer to engage a competent occupational hygienist
The link below will be usefull
Then you need to get yourself to a qualified occupational health doctor. I wouldn't rely on an internet diagnosis
Ok thanks my hood is 100% cotton but not sure of what material helmet underneath hood if that makes senseIn post number 42, left pic the material up in side the helmet. What is that material made of. as that must be rubbing on your cheeks I would guess. Worth checking with Optrel as maybe some latex or other material that your skin is sensitive to.
Hi there I think there not uv led lights as it’s a old work shopThose bright lights behind you in the picture in the factory. Are they new? They look like LEDs. White LEDs are basically a UV LED plus tricolour phosphors. (That combination is causing serious issues with wildlife, with all the LED insecurity lighting people are fitting). If there's UV getting out, might there be anyone else exposed, and showing the same symptoms?
ok thanks dudeLong shot here, but I remember my dad having a bad allergic skin reaction when my mother started using a different washing powder for the laundry.
Changing what you use to wash the hoodie might be worth a try ?![]()
Hmmm possibly I’ll have to take the lining outThere's a sharp cut off of the rash on your right cheek in that last picture, it looks like it lines up with the hoody in one of the previous pictures. maybe you're allergic to that new mask lining.
Ok thanks dudeJust as suggestion but could the problem be more akin to wind burn , the constant airflow from the blower unit could be drying your skin out. I suffer from eczema and can get similar symptoms to what your described if I go out in a cold sharp wind.
try the helmet without the blower unit and see if that helps
I wouldn't rely on an internet diagnosis
Lol, what can I say?you are just being pedantic again, Internet is ALWAYS right, right?
could be, you cannot rule anything out, until you have ruled it out. And that is hard to do I am in the middle of something similar myself and it is very hard, especially if you "have done it for years" without a-ny issues. It could be contact dermatitis, caused by sweat picking up/dissolving and carrying the sensitising agent from one of the helmet components to the facial skin. This has already been alluded to, but just taking it one stage further.
There shouldn’t be any parts of the PAPR that are capable of causing sentisiation. The standard is strict and optrrl are a reputable brand so I don’t expect any corner Cutting. While I don’t know for sure I suspect it’s not related to the kitIt could be contact dermatitis, caused by sweat picking up/dissolving and carrying the sensitising agent from one of the helmet components to the facial skin. This has already been alluded to, but just taking it one stage further.
Have you had a blood pressure , heart & lungs health check in the last year or so to prove everything is OK especially if you have had covid ?
