upvc door handle wobbly , no visible fixings?

got a standard council spec upvc front door , handle is a bit wobbly but theres no screws visible inside or out , anyone got a pic or describe how you nip them up?

There will be 2 screws on one of the door handles that hold the 2 handle units to the door remove the screws, remove the handle unit and try to tighten up/pack out any play that has worn into the units or replace the handle units, or possibly the handle assemblies lever off...

Check there's not a screw under either handle

you will need a new handle set

it normally has a washer and a circlip to hold the handle straight but they wear badly so when failed like yours its only worth getting a new handle

its more the body wobbling than the actual handle ...if i could get it apart i would see about getting a new one

As already mentioned above, check for a retaining screw on the underside of the handle.

Remove handle, prise the trim off. Measure handle and where the screws through the door are, and buy replacement.

I’ve found useful stuff on line about the various ‘secret’ methods used to fasten door parts together with no visible fastenings.

The manufacturers do indeed have some wierd and wonderful ways to confuse the average punter trying to adjust a hinge, or replace a lock.

Looks like the trim just clips over the backplate, there will visible screws underneath.
