Hi there
I have an uptime MIG160 welder, it's around a year old and the other day whilst welding, there was a loud pop or bang, and the welder went off. I found that the main MCB for the garage supply had tripped, I reset this and then turn the welder back on at the plug, to hear another loud pop the same as before. All the lights, led's and the fan came on but I didn't try to weld with it. I open the machine up and couldn't see anything wrong or any signs of damage. Not sure what to do with it now, was looking to see if anyone had any ideas of what may have caused it.
Was using .8 mm wire, with Hobby 5 gas and was stitch welding at the time on around 55amps.
