Upgrading my old snap on 2135 to R Tech 181

I’m only a hobbyist but find myself doing lots more welding on thin body panels these days.
My 2135 although does the job doesn’t have much adjustability (1,2,min,max) and its heavy as hell when I need to move it about.

The Rtech 181 looks like a worthwhile upgrade ? Thoughts ?

if i was buying a welder now, and didnt have a perfectly good one that does everything i need, a rtech 181 or 251 would be my choice over any of the options out there.

I've been using a new R-Tech 181, and I can't fault it. I'm not an experienced welder, but it certainly manages to make me look like I know what I'm doing. I started with mig, then when I was bored one day I had my first go at arc welding and it didn't take long for me to get the hang of that as well. Most of this is because of the machine, not me I hasten to add. If I needed another welder I'd definitely buy one, especially with the guarantee and after sales service.

The 181 with the "easy set" gets you welding straight out of the box .
I use .8 wire and find the settings on the cold side .
The 10% trim ether way sorts this out .
