Ebay "offers option" is a pita for sellers, ebay try to include it in every sale, its really easy to have it included in an item in error. It is automatically included and hidden in a sub menu to deselect.

Spotted that listing an iPad. They said I would be charged a higher fee if I didn't accept offers. I'd rather pay the higher fee

I just got caught with that, put some Tyres up on eBay, £2 each plus postage, didn't click on the accept offers box when setting up the listing, but it still came up when it went live. Someone offered £1.50 each (tight ****) still, I want rid, so I accepted the offer.

I think it’s possible to edit your listing once it’s been listed

The too good to be true bit was that it was up for £6000,should’ve been at least £16,000,it wasn’t remote,it was in the south east,I asked straight out ,why so cheap?anyway when I asked if a local friend with his own low loader could view,sure enough that facility wasn’t available.anyway if it was still a live ad I don’t know how to copy & paste ,I it was live I could post the item number,btw,typed most of this last night,then the battery went flat!

Always ask to go and view, usually floats the scams out, worst case get some one else to go from say here who is possibly local. Ive bought a couple of bikes that way, had a friend go view, ring me, from there.

Interesting one on Ebay à ce moment. Ford Granada estate which keeps being relisted "due to timewasters". MOT expired ten years ago, seller has owned for a year but it only needs a bit of welding. I made a realitic offer and the listing was taken down again. It reappeared this morning.

I'm interested enough to go to see it, except that it is in Essex and I think it may be a wasted journey based on the auction starting price he wants, around £1500 over the top. I often buy long distance unseen but this one smells...

Blimey; last one of them I bought was a cracker. £150 it cost and sound as a pound.
