I've just bought a used iPhone 4 which is locked to O2 and as I'm not an O2 customer the only way I can see to get it unlocked is to put a PAYG sim in it, top it up then pay them £15 from the balance.
Unlocking is free for O2 pay monthly users but does anyone know if the phone has to be registered to a specific O2 customer to get it done for free or could any O2 customer get it done?
I.e. If I was an O2 customer and had bought the phone but then wanted it unlocked, would they still do it for free as the phone would have originally been registered to someone else?
