Universal Column Price

I am at the design stage of the barn/shed I am going to build in the woods we own:
10m long x 5m wide
2.4m to eaves at one end and 3.4m at the other end (ground slopes).
4m to ridge

2 bays, 1 x 6m long and 1 x 4m long.
The 4m x 5m bay will have 4 columns 3.4m high and a solid floor.
The 6m x 5m bay will have 2 columns 2.4m high and a suspended floor.

I estimate that I need about 40m of 178 x 102 x 19 universal column, what sort of price do peeps pay per m. I have seen it on eBay for £19 m but knowing the price other steels sell for there I am guessing I can get it for a fair bit less from a stock holder.
I used to have an account with FR Powell's in Bristol but as I haven't used it in over 5 years I need to reactivate it.

You're best picking up the phone and ringing round a few places tomorrow. It is available in 6m, 12m, 14m and often 8m and 11m lengths.

Prices vary wildly on who is buying, regionally, stock availability, bargaining power etc.

Hi there, a 6 meter bay on a 7x4" beam might be pushing it a wee bity make sure you design in a bit of of bracing!

I'd think you'd be struggling to match that price on a small order like that.
Best thing you can do is probably get it priced as cut bars, and as well as suitable stock lengths to cover.

Any prices you get will likely be ex Vat... remember that.

Delivery, depends on the total order you may get free delivery.... but some places may offer hiab delivery.
