Excellent idea Baloo- but some might say it could hurt a burglar, it certainly infringes his human rights to your stuff.
Good Idea if you have the room. Even a door straight after the external door would work.
Noise is very distracting especially when higher than 108db. Only problem been the expense.
But then what would you rather spend your money on new tools,££££££££ or a couple of hundred on 125+db Bull horns
Another question for the electrical guys, I already have a magnetic door switch on my garage side door,Can I loop in a vibration sensor to be wired in series with the existing magnetic door switch so that it will trigger if the door is attacked,It is at the moment on an entry circuit, will it still work with the vibration sensor in the circuit, ie: If triggered it will give the entry sound warning and then go to full alarm.
It's best on a zone so it will trigger immediatly rather than after entry timeout as a lot can happen in 20 seconds!
Not sure about vibration sensors been on 24 hours, how does general workshop noise affect them?
The only time the alarm is switched off is when I'm in there,If I put the vibration sensor to trigger immediately the alarm would sound when I opened the door myself,Entry delay could be set to 10 secs if it would work ok in series with the magnetic switch
