@Kram is usually the guy to find the bargains but I was only thinking yesterday I had not seen him lately.

Probably no bad thing. Him & his bleedin' bargain spots have likely cost folk a small fortune on here. Like putting a fat kid in a sweetshop & telling them not to touch owt.

Most of the ultrasonic cleaners available seem to be digital. If you were just doing car parts or cleaning your specs is there any big disadvantage to the old school ones with knobs for controls? Seems like less to go wrong really.

Being honest, the components that do the cleaning (transducers) are the same on digital and dial control. However with digital (chip controlled timer) it runs from 0-90 minutes. With dial (mechanical timer) it's 0 20 minutes.
Yes we do sell spares for our brand (DK Sonic). You won't get PCB's / drive cards for the unnamed brand shown in the opening post. As far as I'm aware, nobody in the UK stocks them.

Bit late to the party here, but I was just going to start another thread when I noticed this one !

I have some old school diesel injector nozzles to clean, and I guess this is the way to go ? I have read somewhere that they don't remove rust, but I don't think that's entirely true, looking at earlier postings

Coincidentally, I have been looking at a DK Sonics dial control machine on the well known auction site. Trouble is, the more I think about what I could use it for, a 1000 litre model would be useful !

They will sort of remove loose rust, but they won't de rust.
I did wonder about using it for a citric bath though, but you'd still have to leave stuff in it a while.
Dump in in, leave overnight, give it a session of ultrasonic the next day, then leave a bit longer. Would probably work well.

I’ve used industrial ultrasonic cleaners a few times to clean tough stuff; they make a huge difference. If you’re dealing with grease, dirt, or even things like old coins or parts with tight spaces, they get into every little corner and clean without needing to scrub forever.

Welcome @AeroTia - do you mind me asking what made you think of adding that to a very old post? Have you had recent experiences you might like to share?
