Hello chaps. I recently bought an ultrasonic cleaner, and I'm still getting used to it. I wanted one for my gas turbine project, as well as for other things. I made a couple of videos about it that I hope you'll find interesting.

Almost anything will work. I often use old take away boxes and just float them. Plastic bags work as well .

I have 2 u/sonic cleaners a 6ltr and a 30 ltr, wouldn't be without them now, the only problem with the large one it takes so long to heat the water, the kettle is king here, if I can find a cheap tea urn, that's the way to go.. The 30 ltrs one is great for chainsaw plastics...

For small parts while working on multiple items I use individual chip frying baskets, keeps the parts separate for each item and you can bend the handles to hook over the side of the u/sonic cleaner...

I use stainless tea strainers for small screws and fiddly bits.

Always been on my radar one of these sonic cleaners, is it true just hot soapy water can be the solution or do you need dedicated cleaning fluid.

Hello guys, thank you so much for all the brilliant information. And as far as I'm aware, you can use soapy water. Just so long as you take appropriate corrosion prevention afterwards.

I vary mine according to what I am cleaning. I have used water with a spot of Fairy (wifey's necklaces), Wickes own degreaser dilute and neat (heavily contaminated engine components) and thinners.
