You got a Brand and model number mate?I use the 1mm cutting discs all the time however they do like to explode sometimes so i recommend always having the guard on the grinder and wear a full face mask like thisView attachment 104906

Great prices.... Cheers.Honeywell 1011623 Bionic Face Shield with Uncoated Polycarbonate Screen Clear Lens
I tried using a 3mm disk the other day dont know where it cane from but what a oile of rubbish wouldnt even think about them for cutting takes 3x as long is 3x as hard work and as i was using a cordles grinder a barttery only lasted half a meter of roofing sheet put a 1mm disk in and battery lasted the rest of the day
As for eye protection i picked up a pair of these the other day

And they actually properly seal on your face all the way round 100% so much better than the more expensive uvex ones i have always used and would definitely recommend
Top marks to Amazon order yesterday morning arrived a few hours ago, Good quality mask had to put it together so wont fit back in box, might make an mdf case to keep it clean.Honeywell 1011623 Bionic Face Shield with Uncoated Polycarbonate Screen Clear Lens

I use them a lot - cut through some 10mm plate last night.
Whoever said they blow up when they get wet is talking out of their hat. I use them at work in all weathers when wire sawing, which means they are soaking wet all the time. The only time I break one is when I drop the grinder on the floor.
