Type e plug?

I've brought something that's turned up with what Google says is a type e, plug. Going from the data plate can I replace this with a conventional 3 pin 13a plug?

It's illegal to supply equipment with non standard plugs. The colours of the wires can be different to the UK. Also the live pins are not insulated like our plugs.

It’s a Schuko plug.

You can get adaptors that fit and wrap around the cable, converting them in to U.K. plugs.

Is the lead fixed to the equipment, or is it a trailing lead?

Chop the plug off and rewire with a UK plug, as it's only 500w you should be okay with a 3amp fuse, 5amp if it pops on startup.

It's a pet hate of mine finding that people put a 13amp fuse in every plug regardless of how small the load is.

It's not a schuko plug, it's a standard French plug. Schuko are German plugs.

I've put a UK plug on. It's a fixed lead. I contacted group on telling them about it. They didn't seem overly interested and just gave me £20 back. I can't be the other person who's mentioned it
