I know enough to be truly dangerous!
My new house has Hager main CU and an M2 subsidiary CU in the garage.
The M2 is fed from the Hager via an MTN 132 B32 MCB (?)
At the M2 CU there is a 100amp isolator and 3 RCBOs (?)
M232MBRSPK B32 supplying the EV Charger
M216MBRSPK B16 supplying the sockets
M26MBRSPK B6 supplying lights.
My big 2.7kW Nilfisk 150.1 pressure washer pops the garage 16A RCBO instantly. It runs happily off any of the house circuits protected by 32 amp Hager MCBs on the main CU.
My simple thought was to buy and fit a second M232MBRSPK B32 to replace the 16 amp one. BUT
These M2 RCBOs are rare beasts according to my Google searches:
eBay turns up several completed sales but no current ones.
CEF only has Type A ones:
So do I:
keep searching in the hope a Type B turns up on eBay one day
hope a fellow member can advise a source of these near-mythical beasts
fit a Type A
Advice please - preferable with a short explanation for my edification.
Edit: if relevant the garage is fed by a buried 10mm2 supply approximately 6 metres long.
