I've got two new heaters, one is Vevor one is HCalory. Recently the Vevor started throwing up Error-09 "Sensor error". Today I decided to test the sensor and glow plug with a multimeter, and both gave the correct resistance. I closed the unit back up to video the fault as Vevor want proof it's faulty. Suddenly now the heater works. Did moving the board around fix something?
Well so I thought it worked. I fired up both heaters and noticed the Vevor is running a lot cooler. The infrared thermometer is saying the HCalory heat exchanger is at 160 C and the Vevor at less than 100 C. Both are pumping at 5.4 Hz. Exhaust heat is also much lower on the Vevor.
I'm planning to the test the pump output, then maybe try swapping the pumps and swapping the control board to see if that remedies the fault. It's sure useful having two heaters.
PS I have a feeling that diesel heaters are going to need their own sub on this forum. Also, having opened the units, the HCalory has a nicer board. Already mentioned it also has better castings.
