Okay, a bit of a shot in the dark, perhaps Matt might be able to enlighten me...
Machine is a Hitachi 350, Twin pulse
Trying to set up to weld the inside joints of 8mm thick aluminium angle, so a butt weld and a fillet.
Gas is Alumaxx, wire is 1.2, 4043.
Its got a new torch with low friction liner.
Seem to be having an issue with the setup. You can clearly hear the difference between the two pulse levels, but the weld is far from attractive. Unfortunatly no pics of the 'welds' It lacks a nice smooth bead, and that nice effect we should have from such a machine.
Anyway, any ideas on parameters for this?!
Heres a pic of the control panel. The machine pictured has identical controls, except where the spot timer is, ours has the pulse mode switch, and dial on left is labeled 'double pulse' marked in seconds 0-3.
Normaly the 2 controls on the remote are all you need to touch in single pulse mode. I assume you would set that up as normal, then set the timer, but what controls the difference between the pulses, is that the base voltage, and pulse voltage knobs?
Thanks for any help!
