Tv repair ? Back light gone

If all your led's check out ok after following the YT vid then the pcb should be suspected. Note there are outputs labeled LED+ and LED-. Even though it has 1 through to 5 it may not use all of them as the board may be used on other tv's that have more LED strips.
NOTE if you have already not worked it out that the "HOT" part of pcb means HIGH voltage !!! mains and above. So take care with bare hands near there or when placing board on anything.

The two brown circle/pads should be your + and -. You may have to scratch through any coating on them to get a good contact. The item arrowed should be a reverse polarity protection diode (one for each led).
If you have a kids toy around that takes 2 x AA batteries then if you whip the back cover off and connect two lengths of wire to the output contacts that will give you a 3v supply for testing and if you connect these to your meter like the guy on YT you can confirm you are applying the 3v's when testing.

bit of an update i tryed wht you have said and found 3 faulty leds so as thats a cost of £60 plus post for new strips and then theres a danger of me braking the led screen in rebuilding ive decided we have bought a new tv cosco 65 inch 5 year warrenty for 369 stupid cheap for that size

if it had been a 20/30 quid id have taken a chance but up that far and a possability of a faulty board as well id thought whats the chance of a tv that size coming up for that price again if i cant fix this on

you can use normal low voltage led lights and seperate power supply so they light up the rear panel if you want a cheap fix

was a good thought but a bit late now its down the tip only problem i can see would be you cant ajust the brightness if done that way

actualy you can adjust there brightness
