That was really good - 5 minutes was interviewing welders and showing welding with shots of multi-pass welding (with MIG). That must have been about 20 minutes in for when it shows on iPlayer.

Good to have cool British made stuff on telly. Next week the programme is about Rolls-Royce aero engines.

I'll have to tell me Grandad, he used to be a machinest for RR, many many years ago.

It was good, no where near dramatised as much as the American programmes of similar topics.

Was a really good program, the babe electrician was an added bonus !
Wonder who has the contract for welding consumables !
One question on the welding, would the root weld have been done by TIG ?

Good stuff ......but they mentioned once it was 4 years late and £800M over budget..i have read a lot of it is to do with not being able to get to grips with 3D CAD which had to be outsourced to the US Navy...... don't know how true that is.

Why was that materials bloke wearing rubber gloves at his computer ?

One question on the welding, would the root weld have been done by TIG ?

They mentioned finishing the welding from the outside so i doubt it. Miles and miles of pipework though...

Much better/more detailed than i;d of expected, next weeks one sounds good
