Thats all i thought it ment. Means i can call my 165E and 165TE now as i just fitted a fan on the back of it. I better get the tipex out and write turbo on it now.
The fan is supposed to keep the welder cooler so the "duty cycle" lasts longer. I.E> you can weld continuously for longer.
I have a Clark Turbo 150TE and it has been working great for years! My old MOT garage, were broken into and their big pro ESAB welder was stolen. They got a Clark 150 TE as a stop-gap and liked it so much they didn't bother getting another expensive welder in.
No harm i suppose in fitting a fan, can only be a good thing. Wired it directly to the 240v input wire with an inline fuse conected to it.
Just a quick question, what sort of amp fuse would be best to put in there? was thinking 10-15. Ive stuck a 7.5 in there now and see how it goes, if it blows then i will up it.
Cheers to peterd51 for suggesting it and pointing me in the right direction.
