Hi guys, just after a little advice please.
Currently have a 304L tubular manifold that was built using 1.5mm wall tube.
It's in a tuned TDI so runs at a large range of temps and due to the design and material growing and contracting in the heat in a few months of use its already cracked in two places.
I was thinking of making one myself useing 1 1/4 sch 40 but weld fittings, some say stay with stainless and some say use mild steel as it will allow more flex as it heats up and cools.
Just wanted some opinions really??.
This is the current manifold:-
