Tungsten prices

My local supplier charges nine pounds and 25p for a ten pack of zirconated
electrodes 2.4mm parweld or swp but today they were still on holiday so
i priced up some others

1. midland welding forty nine pounds and 16p binzel
2. engweld three pounds and 50p each binzel
3. boc twenty eight pounds

is there any difference boc said theres were 8% but does this make a difference opinions folks what do you use

I had a pack of 10 2.4mm ceriated ones (Parweld) from weldingtorchparts.co.uk for about £12. Exactly the same things (Binzel branded) were £20 from my local supplier. I think both packs are 2% ceriated so I guess you just need to shop around.

A tenners about right for those, Boc just tried to charge me £18, for a pack of ten 2.4s, I left them on the counter and went to my usual supplier £9.50 +vat, just a bit cheaper than these.

I wouldn't want to pay no more than £15 a pack, for non trade customers. £10 or so normally.

Well, cotswold is about £175, marble about £250 and Irish quartzite about £300
(All plus VAT )

Think we get a pack of 10 gold tip 1.5% lanthanated 2.4's for about 9 quid at work.
