Can you explain thatif it was mine on the end of the wheel then with a diamond coated disc
nomally pointing down aswellTungstens should be ground perpendicular to the grinding face I believe.
Ooh, I grind mine pointing up.nomally pointing down aswell
So I'd grind on the flat face of that wheel
I do tooOoh, I grind mine pointing up.
Why ?
YepSo I'd grind on the flat face of that wheel
Oh so do I. I think i have bad memoryI do too
Might work out better to buy yet another bench grinder but a 6" one
Cheaper wheels for sure for a dedicated tungsten grinder.Might work out better to buy yet another bench grinder but a 6" one
3 bench grinders might be nice, can convert the tungsten 8" one to buffing wheels.Cheaper wheels for sure for a dedicated tungsten grinder.
Yeah, that'll be 3 I've got then. Only bought this 8" one back in march to use for my electrodes. Seems like a smaller 6" might be a good optionJust go buy a 20 quid bench grinder, and job done.
Think it's just a crappy soft wheel that came with the grinder. My other 8" that I use for everything else has been the same wheel for years. How have you worn out an eight inch wheel in a year, just sharpening tungstens?
I haven't worn out a six inch wheel grinding tungstens, lathe tools and drill bits, for nearly ten years!
