Hi,
Ive recently bought a transtig 350. Monster of a thing and having never used a tig before am having some fun setting it up.
I have a manual and have managed to get the settings right for mild but using the ac mode for ally im having problems.
Basically it seems like all the heat is in the tungsten rather than the ally. Even running low amps like 60 odd it seems to burn the tip back.
Ive also heard a few different stories on what shape the tungsten tip should be for ally?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Im hoping to practise a lot over the next coupla weeks but its v frustrating at the moment!!
And im running out of tungsten!!
Cheers
