Tube Offcuts

I'm in a situation where I could do with an assortment of steel tube, Typically I have most box section & plate needed.

Saw this on eBay:

But concerned that I will get a load of useless offcuts.

I literally need 1" upward sizes no longer than a foot long!

Should of asked a Rollcage company I use to deal with.

these days I just order what I need off ebay and wait a few days for it to turn up. you can buy offcuts and 20 years later, you'find you've still got them rusting away and never used. if you need more than one size, you can always ask the supplier if they will do a combined price (even if the isn't a separate price for postage.

I'd be quite happy to buy full lengths , chop it up and sell to you at the equivalent of around £2-4K a ton
That's one heck of a markup on scrap steel for them

I'm willing to spend £20-30 on offcut if its what I need. Just can't justify buying full lengths atm.

Message them and ask them if you buy a pack could they make it all above an inch.....they might ask more m9ney but you can only ask.

I know how it is having to buy full lengths when you dont need a lot...but a variety.

They always say that....if you were paying more.......no point in putting contact us if you dont want to be asked...
My guess is they dont want to mess at that price but might give you a price. Either way is expensive..

I agree, it sounds like they don't want to be asked about what they have already prepackaged but it cant hurt to ask if they are able to put together one that more suits the requirements, end of the day they can only say no or ignore the question.

There's a few local places that I've got to know well, I'm allowed to raid their scrap bins, but I don't do it often

Has anyone got any offcuts kicking around? Willing to pay postage etc.

Sizes I'm after is 25mm 30mm, 40mm, 45mm, 50mm, 60mm & 75mm. Sizes don't need to be exact as most stuff is Imperial, But close enough is fine with me!

Reasonable wall thickness, But nothing thicker than 10 Guage & 6-12" length
