Tube notcher

Hi all,

I have a project to build some bikes from scratch using 1"1/4 and 2" tube. Ive been looking about for tube notchers and having not used one before can anyone inform me of what i should be looking for.

Ive seen this on the Stakesey website: http://www.stakesys.co.uk/department/tube_notchers/ and as you can see theres are a few to choose from which leaves me scratching my head.

I dont think it will be used on anything else but these bikes (which is an ongoing project as and when they need making) so dont really see the need for the most priciest machine, would the cheapest suffice?

No Problem. Though they don;t last forever. If you are going to be doing a lot or what another axis of cut then the STA155 "Beast" Hole Saw Tube Notcher would be the one to go for, but not from Matt.

Baileigh Industrial are far cheaper at £175

We've been building a roll cage at work using the STA129 tube notcher from Stakesys and are very happy with it considering the cost. The ability to do an offset notch is cool but we've not come across a need for it yet so we're stick with the basic one.
