Hi all. been given a task at work as they know i like faffing about.
We use a TT rotating table for welding posts onto the base plates. that is up and running as the unit does. Now we have anther post which have caps hand welded on and we want to try a rotary table.
Now this got me thinking and came up with a plan as they also want a small lathe, noting massive. My old lathe i have at home runs of a VFD to get down to single phase and can get to the 4-7rpm needed for this job.
Anyway question is if a TT control unit ( sorry i forgot the TT unit we have) and welder be wired to a VFD to run the lathe.
I think it can, we will get a tech guy in if we can find out if it will work as a set up.. I see it as the TT unit runs to the Lathe/VFD instead of the TT motor?
Prob not a simple as that but worth an ask to see it i can be done.
