Does anyone know where I can find brazing flux, the paste type ready mixed, and silver solder that comes in a coil. Plenty of places in the US but not in the UK. Thanks
I was just going to reccomend that one. Whenever i need something realy obscure I spend ages hunting the web, then in desperation try Ebay, and there it is. I must try and reverse this habit.
Hold on, what has this got to do with learning to Mig weld?
I use Murex Saffire powder flux, Murex also do same in paste format, can't help with silver solder supplied in coil, your local consumable supplier may help?
What are you trying to braze/silver solder? Depending on what you are brazing you might not need flux. And depending on strength required you might not need sliver solder.

Thanks Daz. I'm building my own bicycle frame using lugs. Professional builders (some anyway) use silver solder. But since I started this thread the price of silver solder has double quadrupled in price, no kidding, so I'm happy to use an alternative. Do you have any suggestions? or any advice as well if you like and a link if possible. Many thanks.
