Trust nothing

I’ve recently replaced charging cables from CEX, got the extra long cables, it’s a high street company so hopefully good quality, I’d imagine it’s the eBay type of cables which are causing a melting problem, who would have thought though that phone charger cable could be a fire hazard with 5 volts

Sadly 5 volts is all it needs to let the smoke out of some electronic components. A lot now runs on 3.3 volts.
