Trunking for a ring main .

Best place to get Plastic trunking for a ring main. For my workshop.

ebay seems bloomin expensive.

As above, although I would use a wholesaler as they do it in 3mtr lengths, Screwfix only have 2mtr lengths.

screwfix arent bad but as said only sell 2M lengths so you may need a fair few joints depending on what run you are doing.

I was thinking of 50 x 50 for a garage install which they only have in 2M

i sometimes use elecrifix and if there cheaper than the wholesalers i bollock them and they drop the price cheaper

Why trunking and not plastic conduit? Plastic conduit looks miles better and should be cheaper.

Trunking is much easier to fix and holds more cables which are easier to run, just put conduit drops to the sockets and switches.

Ahh pyro! I had to do some alterations to an old school installation that was wired in pyro but not just normal pyro, it was bloody imperial! I found an old guy that had made a conversation chart from imperial to metric sizes to get the correct fittings. What a ball ache! I'm the only person on the firm that knows how to make it off.

I think it's only used on ATEX installs now, FP200 seems to have taken over for fire & emergency lighting wiring.

That 50 50 is damn expensive. .

TLC electrical do 3m lengths of 50x50 for 10.40 pounds +vat each for 4+ lengths.

CEF(city electrical factors) but not too sure whether you'll be able to get it without being in the trade? worth asking for a quote online though won't cost yer nothing but your time
