Hello lads. Is it just regular brake fluid that goes into the jack bottle?
Seems the seal is a bit worn and has been leaking a bit now it's nearly out of fluid and only pumps in its last inch of stroke. Cheers.

You can use brake fluid but the correct answer is no. You can buy jack oil at lots of places, it is a hydraulic oil but not as fine as brake fluid. I would not recommend you mix them. Brake fluid will also find a leak faster than jack oil.

If i remember correctly jack oil is just hydraulic oil, same stuff that goes in the fork lift and my selfer punch, should be easy obtainable from any car parts place

Brake fluid will likely dissolve the seals.

Many places sell hydraulic oil or Jack fluid. Have seen it in auto parts stores.

Machine mart sell it in 1litre or 5litre bottles, £4.69 for 1l and £11.73 for 5l.
