I have found vacuuming doesn’t work to relieve chips as the force is very low as it’s limited by atmospheric pressure and you cannot directly it where needed. It may work on saw dust.

I’m going to be running the compressed air anyway on a mist lubrication system. This will be a low mist type

I have a compressed-air powered vacuum gun (I know, sounds like a contradiction in terms )
Google turns up plenty of hits but not the alloy one I have, I'll have to take a pic...

If you use a 'normal' workshop vac it pays to sleeve down the inlet to a small bore pickup tube (say 1") which speeds up the airflow.

I have two evolutions saws so finding small pieces of swarf in, my ears, on the floor, in my socks, in my pockets,in my hair, in my tea cup, up my bum and sticking to the cat is so totally normal. I think my main issue is lack of enclosure And that’s going to be tricky given my working area.
