Well due to missus illness, which is ongoing, we are going to have to cancel our trip to New York on Saturday.
We’ve managed to book in to see a consultant on Monday via private medical. We was getting no where with the GP.
Anyhow, this leaves us in a bit of a precarious situation.
Mrs first had what we thought was a cold at Christmas.
We booked holiday on the 27th.
Can’t remember what day we did the insurance.
Anyway when she went to the doctors on 14th she said I’ve been sick for 3 weeks.
Are our travel insurance likely to pay out. Will they claim it’s a pre existing condition?
Who would of thought a cold at Christmas time would turn into four trips to GP & an Ambulance. Five weeks later.
It’s through coverwise/axa which we now found out doesn’t have the best reviews!
We can rebook through BA for April (hope she is better by then) but will need to pay the difference for going at a busier time of year, which is looking at double the original holiday cost, meaning I’d have to fork out an extra £1700. Same hotel etc.
