seen it all now from 18 foot long by 9x4 beams strapped on a cortina roof with charleband string and 2 goats in a car and now this

Reminds me of the time I bought some sheets of polystyrene and asked about bringing the van right into the yard as it was really windy, the guy I was speaking to said I didn't need to as he'd carry it out for me...
As soon as he got past the warehouse door 3 sheets became 6 smaller sheets, which then exploded as they bounced off everything in the yard before disappearing through a chain link fence to continue their journey
Once I'd managed to stop laughing I backed the van up to the door

I find that a great idea BrightSpark, if its fits then why not. After all its not unsafe and not overloaded as the Suzuki SJ are just 960kg 
Doors may of had to be ties open but that always happens,i even went to Portsmouth form Manchester to pull down a 16x10 con`y and got it all inn the back of a MWB tranny and had to leave a door fully open.
If it goes then why not i say.

No pic, but at my steel supplier in Portugal, the local council guys were there with a transit. Had a bundle of tubes hoisted onto the roof rack which promptly collapsed onto the roof... they went to sign the chit and the manager asked them if they wanted some rope to tie it on. No need they said, we aren't going far

Some years back I was touring america on a motorcycle,-Laverda 1200 Mirage-not common out there and a bike cop was having a chat about it when I stopped for breakfast.As he left he said watch out for mattresses-its the season.
????. Anyway hour or so later-mattress in the road-??. Some time later oncoming car flashes its headlights- speed trap ahead? -nope-mattress.
It was college intake time, so the new students were taking their own mattresses along-often on the roof of the car and quite a few fell off unoticed by the driver.
