Transformer recommendation.?

Hi,
I have had a successful foray into cleaning my calipers with the 12volt battery charger /bucket of water/soda mix method. It works well. (Until I can get a blaster) what I dont like is using the charger through a battery. Not being a electrical bod, can someone point me to a safe transformer type of kit I need for this purpose. Continuous use over a few days, and not burst into flames.!
