Well I've done it again!
This is the 4th time in a 25 year period that I've managed to jam the contact tip in the steel and I assume, shorted out the Thyristor again.
Does anybody have any idea what type to replace it with.
The service centre I took it to last time found a replacement, made in Italy.
But it cost me about £115 including labour and VAT.
I've checked the MUREX support PDF's, but can't find a replacement part or part no.
RS components have a substantial amount of thyristors, that look like the original (bottom) mounted and the replacement (top) mounted.
(Is There any difference between the two?)
But I wouldn't know where to start in terms of spec. as there are only product codes on the parts I have, that don't match anything on their website.
This would happen on a friday night, with a job to finish tomorrow.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
