ToughBuilt trestles / gear ?

Hi all, i am now looking for a set of trestles and i have come by these Toughbuilt, good for the sheet holding and table clamp fitting, adjustable legs are a help.Ii am not into the cheap sets, trying to buy and last for a while.

Best price i can find, not bad i reckon.

Are these good bits of kit then, made well or tin stuff, any opinions on the them guys before i splash out.

Haven't seen them before.

Gave up buying plastic tresses and made mine out of ply as plastic never lasted long.
May retire them and buy a couple of pairs of those.
They look solid in comparison to other metal trestles similar to those I've seen which always wobble.

If you use 6x2 to build up higher fro the table than the 4x2 then would that solve that problem?

I like the way they fold away, save a loads room.

Aye. Personally I'd just cover the top with 18mm ply fixed from the underside and stick an 18mm packer under the 2x4. Can use one independently then and still have a sacrificial board.

I just noticed that the more expensive C700 have the adjustable legs hey ho if needs must. Important part to me for a stable base when out n about.

They are what i was looking at at first but with more searching i found with them not have adjustable legs and the extra features of the Toughbuilt, i mite aswell buy once and get what needed from them.

Depends on how fancy you want to get! I bought them because they seemed good value for money & better than the plastic trash on the market!

Its not about fancy, the Toughbuilt have more features, unless that is what you mean by fancy.

Got a pair And well chuffed

I was looking at the C550 only as when i was looking for them at first i thought they had adjustable legs but that model only starts with the C650 ( C600 in the link below have adjustable legs but i could not

find any and they dont have the board holding/material support ) So for about an extra £12 its well worth it for the extra adjustment on uneven ground and height.

The C700 only give the extra 4x4 beam fitment which i dont need as the 4x2 is plenty and capacity is fine with me, plenty infact on the C650.

I found them very easy to unfold, quick as well. really well built, solid and strong, not a flimsy bit on them. easy leg adjustment and i like the board holding fitting.

I can say they are well worth the £99 for the pair, yep there are cheaper options about a pair maybe for £around £60, but nah not again.

@W.olly I thought you'd be going for something like this, similar to the Rockwell RK9003 which is very pricey when you take shipping from 'Murica into account.

I bought the triton SJA300 (similar to the Rockwell). Great bit of kit , used it on site a few times as a vice to clamp steels etc whilst cutting.
Also looking to get some of those trestles to make table / cut sheets etc as the Triton not particularly suitable for that

I spotted that some time ago but for some reason it didnt do it for much. I like the clamping feature. Price is a bit much though. I did intend to stick to a £60 budget lol.
If needs arise though i may just get one. There is/was a Triton dealer near me. Could be worth popping in if he is still there and have a look if he has one in some time.

I read about the sacrificial timber on the C700 somewhere also, I have not looked close at the C700 but the C650 have two small holes either end where a sacrificial timber may be fitted.
