Torx Screwdrivers

I have the Halfords professional set, t5-10 i think. Great quality and fit for £20.

I have had that set for a while, only gets used at home but can not complain. A collogue got the smaller almost jeweller's screwdriver size set for dismantling Sennheiser USB speaker / microphones on my recommendation he damaged one of the smaller screwdriver on the first day which was not good but Halfords replaced the set and as far as I know he has not had any problems with the new set.

they don't cover wear and tear. just if you snap them, I have yet to see a screwdriver phillips pozi or other last me more than a year any make including snapon

I mentioned to show that i use their bits day in day out, only snapped a few t45 and a16mm socket in the years ive used their tools. For value for money they are hard to beat. I also have halfords gear and thats brilliant as well, its the old gear supposedly made by snap on: slimmer sockets with a dull finish and totally different fonts etched into the sockets... They are really, really strong tools!

I think the Halfords ones are tamperproof too.

There are times where bits are no good especially on deep set screws, only a dedicated torx driver will work.

I use Wera bits at work in my impact driver but can’t stand tip changing screw drivers

I have a Halfords set in the shed and they survive my use and abuse

Wera and Wiha are both good.

For fairly typical home use on electronic items, there's a Xiaomi Wijia Wiha 4mm hex bit driver set available from Aliexpress, etc, that includes T2 - T15 among the 24 bits and represents excellent value at around £20. The bits appear to be real Wiha quality and are able to handle considerably more torque than the supplied handle will allow me to apply.

Absolutely nothing if you feel you need to stir your paint with a Torx driver.

Yep that’s exactly why I need Screwdrivers. I had to fix the pan draw runners in the kitchen, blasted things were torx and the bits that fit in the adapter didn’t reach

I bodged up an old Allan key to get by

I know what you mean about the Wera handles - for doing up and undoing electrical terminals I prefer a rounded driver like Bahco, but I have the Wera Torx screwdrivers and they are very good.

For me I prefer the feel of the Halfords grips, though the tips on the Wera appear harder wearing and get a better grip.

I like the halfords ones but they dont have a t27. Wera for me.
