Torque Gun

Im looking to purchase a new "Buzz" gun. Broke my old one letting the battery get wet. Budget of around £300

I've been looking at the Dewalt XR DCF899HN (can get the bare unit for less than £200)
Would I save money buying things separate?

Do you have any other tools using 18v batteries, if so you could get just get a "bare" unit.

Otherwise perhaps look at what tools you might like in the future and get the gun from the same maker so you can use the same batteries when buying new drills etc.

I almost always buy bare unit not saves quite a bit even if you buy a battery as well.

From what I have seen I can get the gun, a 5Ah Battery and the charger for less than the full set. Plus I never use the cases so it's a waste of time having them.

Actually depends which model you want.....but I'm getting the 3/4 one and using a step-down and thats only £419 inc VAT when on sale.

Other option is get Langy to get you one in from the states at £ for $

That's still more than £100 more than the Dewalt, and if I have any problems won't it need to be shipped to America? Give me a link, I wouldn't mind comparing some of the brochure stats.

No, Milwaukee UK would take care of it. You can buy the body and batteries from the states then get the charger in the UK so its the correct charger. Batts are the same but the charger differs due to US/UK voltage

M18 is 700ft/lb in 1/2"....has higher reverse than forward too so you'll never tighten a bolt and then be unable to remove it


Warranty is damn good too, 5 years on the impact and 3 on the batt

I'm gonna go find some stats on the two as the Dewalt looks more powerful but the Milwaukee looks to have a better battery.

DeWalt is 2ft/lbs behind

Not much in it but I'd rather have the red one, DeWalt stuff always felt a bit cheap to me
