TIG torch swap problem.
I have been getting some practice in with ally welding. I’m not a complete newbie but this problem has got me baffled. I’ve just swapped over to a lighter WP9F torch but all my attempts at pooling a weld result in a dusty dry crater. When I swap back to the heavier torch a normal pool resumes. it’s the same 2.4mm zircon tungsten I’ve tried a few setting changers inc gas flow more and less and reducing the amperage to no avail. I’ve even put the torch on the negative but that just made it spit. Any help would be much appreciated.
