Hi,
I recently bought a Mig welder, and have since found that my brother has left a R-tech 160 amp dc tig in the shed. He has headed away (abroad) for work so has no use for it. I'd like to try and get it working. I think that he may have only used it once or twice.
there is a 3.2 mm electrode in it which i have been informed may be overkill. I was told that for general (light fab) a 1.6mm might suit better and make the machine easier to use.
I have NO TIG EXPERIENCE.
I just would like some help as to identify what type of consumables to buy. ie how to identify the torch type. Im probably not seeing the wood from the trees! tbh

The above is the type of welder. Im purely a hobbiest. Any help would be great. Thanks!!!
