Torch cutting out

I am having a problem with my torch cutting out intermitadly , when i press trigger it sometimes work other time not giving the torch lead a shake makes it go again. do the connecting contacts wear out ? there are two small contacts and the gas and wire in the screw on connector any help please. Cheers Guy

It could be the torch switch leads, or the wire may be hanging up in the feed conduit.
Does it do it with the feed rollers open ?

I think its an electrical conection problem when i wiggle the black lead about 6 inche s from the plastic connector to the main machine the power seems to come back and wire feed starts . Thanks for the reply .

In your shoes, I think i'd get a multi-meter on the contacts in the euro connector, and try and narrow down where the problem is. If all else fails, a new euro torch isn't big money,

If you can't afford to replace, find the part where movement will make it work / stop, slice open rubber sheath (carefully) and pull the two thin wires, the insulation will stretch then snap where the break is. Rejoin with a bit of wire & solder, insulate with tape / heat shrink then tape sheath up. Should keep you going for a bit.
